When to Schedule Your Newborn Session
It’s best to reserve your newborn session during the second trimester—after your anatomy scan—to ensure availability. Once scheduled, I’ll guide you through everything leading up to your session so nothing feels overwhelming. Plan for the session to take place within the first two weeks after delivery, with 5-10 days being the sweet spot.
Newborn Session Details + Info
Every baby is different, so no specific pose is ever guaranteed. I follow your baby’s cues throughout the session, beginning with the poses and setups they’re most comfortable with (ideally the family poses), then moving into whatever they seem willing to do next. Some babies happily sleep through a wide variety of poses; others prefer to stay wrapped and cozy. Either way, your session is designed around your baby—not the other way around.
Newborn sessions are baby-led and unhurried, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks as needed. Petite sessions are typically under an hour, while Full sessions can last up to 3.5 hours depending on baby and siblings. Coffee, refreshments, and snacks are stocked for you and your family.
